“Reactive abuse happens when someone pushes you until you act out of character. Then they shame you for your reaction. If you hold a match to a candle sooner or later it will burn.”
Something the Phoenix welfare bums should have been told a long time ago!
Been very tired. It seems the shakes have lost their magic, or maybe they never held any, and I was just having an unusually good spell for a while. I was up a long time last night, which never helps. As soon as I’m up 18 hours, I can pretty much guarantee that I’ll be tired the next day.
A few days ago, a friend of Doc A’s friended me on Facebook. She works with her, although I don’t recognize her. We probably crossed paths with all the times I’ve seen Doc A. She’s a doctor too, but I guess she wants to get into journalism and wanted people’s opinions on the subject. Journalism is a fine field as long as it’s done honestly. It’s when you make shit up, throw things in that didn’t happen, exaggerate, or fail to investigate the bullshit lies told about you that I have a problem with.
Anyway, and not surprisingly, she’s a strong Democrat. She shared a link to her BlueSky account, and I’m definitely trading in X for BlueSky—not just because I’m a Musk-hater, but because I hate the unsolicited notifications on X, which don’t seem to be an issue on BlueSky, created by the original founder of Twitter.
The Honker’s company is still here, but he hasn’t ridden the motorcycle for the last couple of days. Both the truck and the golf cart were gone for a while when I saw three people walk up to the house. Again, I can’t imagine how he’s able to accommodate so many people in his place. It isn’t much bigger than this place. It’s after 10:00 yet I can still hear a trickle of voices and laughter through their open windows.
I decided I’m not going to do Rhonda’s job for her. Twice, I called about the lab orders and got no answer. Also, no one’s replied on the portal. So I’m just going to make a virtual appointment for June, and if I have the lab orders by then, fine. If I don’t, that’s fine too. I’m not going to chase after them to do their own fucking jobs.
I’ve gained three pounds, but just like AI said, the ENT said the nasal spray should not put weight on me. It’s probably connected to either my thyroid or age. Maybe it’s just my time to gain weight again. As we age, we tend to gain weight in increments every few years. Well, it’s been a while for me, although I really hope to hell I don’t gain much more if I’m going to because I’ve got more than I can handle as it is. I eat well most of the time and exercise most days, but it’s not something I have much control over if any at all. Even if I did, I would still be terrified to lose a significant amount of weight because of that evil Levo. I’d be so much healthier if I could lose 30 or 40 pounds, but it’s just not happening. I’ve known that for many years now.
Finally got January’s Medicare order. We got some allergy stuff, lotion, and a steam inhaler. There’s a mask that covers just the mouth and nose and one that covers the whole face.
I framed one of my colorings, and it looks pretty good. It’s on the wall in Tom’s room, and it really gives it a nice pop of color. I’m going to put a couple more in there once I get them colored because there’s more wall space available in that particular room. I have several more frames but not that much wall space throughout the house, being as small as it is. We also don’t want to pierce the vinyl tiles.
Walkabout came out with a new course called Mount Olympus, which is nice and VZ launched a Saint Patrick’s Day Challenge with six rides. I did the first one, which was in Savannah, Georgia. Now I’m in Munich, and then I’ll head to Montreal, Chicago, Sydney, and Buenos Aires.
