It’s beautiful out now, but boy was it chilly in here this morning! I even ran the heat for a few minutes to get the chill out. It’s so nice with a gentle breeze coming through the window and hearing nothing but the wind chimes tinkling. That is, as long as I’m not by an open window in back. Some dog, presumably the renter’s, is periodically yipping its ass off. It could be obnoxious at times when we do get porches and a pool, though it could never be nearly as obnoxious as it was in Phoenix with those damn collies going off non-stop. They were terrible!

Yes, I do love this house! I only wish the freeloaders hadn’t gone and tainted it like they did the other house.

I’m going to try to stay on days so I can be up when he’s up. He just began his second of 3 vacations.

UPS is supposed to come today, but I don’t know. These are dolls we’re talking about, and you know I’ve never ordered and gotten a doll this fast, so I don’t know why I would now, although it did say the truck was out on delivery when we last checked. If I remember right, the last few times I saw UPS trucks out here, it was more toward early afternoon. If they get here today, they probably won’t arrive till close to 2:00.

If Tasha’s not in by Wednesday, we’ll begin round what – five? – of trying to get this damn doll.

UPS is also bringing us a free digital camera that Tom got with bonus points at work! Anyway, it doesn’t do the sharp resolution I’ve been using and it doesn’t have a viewfinder, but it might be faster. It does 10-second movies, too. It’ll be a good thing to keep in the car.

I attempted to make a full-circle skirt for fashion dolls, but it was a bust. I’m just going to have to wait till I get some patterns, and also maybe meet with Ma a few times for lessons. At least I got a feel for how to operate the new sewing machine. It’s so small and lightweight! It’s not that complicated, either.

When I do things like sewing, I really realize just how bad my eyes are getting!

Tom and I spoke briefly with Mary yesterday. He was going to stop by before work, but they were on their way out. Mary and I discussed the sewing and the crabs. True to what I figured, she did not like the sight of them!

The other Mary sent me a letter and a quick clip of her utterly horrible, totally nightmarish trip to court she recently had. The one that was a dry run. Something wanted to pick on that poor girl that day, that’s for sure!

First, she goes through having to adjust to a new celly after having the same one for so long (at least they get along). Then, she gets bleached out by her when she cleans the cell (I remember that disgusting smell all too well from Maria). Then she gets locked in a cell at the courthouse for 14 hours with no food, water or toilet. And all the while she’s handcuffed, she’s got male inmates harassing her at the door, and a nearby toilet flooding her cell with piss. Ugh!

She mentions being pardoned within a few years of getting out. When I asked Tom what that meant, he explained to me that that’s when the governor drops your case due to public sympathy. (too bad the public didn’t experience all the stress and the hell the freeloaders put me through when we all lived together) I don’t know, though, cuz life’s so unfair. Yes, she should be pardoned, but will it happen? Or is she getting her hopes up for nothing? I still think she should hope for the best, but expect the worst.

She asked if I’d type up letters for her to her future soul mate and I told her I would if she insisted, and that I admired her positive attitude, but I really think it’s premature. She should wait and at least meet the guy first, I think.
