Making another attempt to kill the "chipmunks." I slept soundly for a few hours, and then the chipmunks began. A handful of chipmunks later, I'd had enough and disconnected from the CPAP altogether. I then shoved my nasal dilator in my nose, and other than a couple of snorts, I slept okay with that for the last two hours of my sleep.

My first thought was to just not use the CPAP unless I was struggling more than usual, and I read and confirmed that yes, sleep apnea can be worse at times than at other times. But then an idea came to me, and I decided that rather than swing all the way from one extreme to another, I would try setting it so it can't ramp. Even on the lowest setting, I can feel plenty of air going through. It alone makes a huge difference in how easily I can breathe through my nose, so I would think I would get some benefit in my sleep as well.

It will be interesting to see what my AHI score is and if I still get chipmunked awake. I'm really worried about the possibility of not being able to get a mouthguard. I'm kind of screwed if I don't, but then I'm screwed when it comes to sleep no matter what I do anyway.

Tinky is starting to have trouble walking as her tumor grows. It's very sad to see her slowly decline between the tumor and the fact that she's old for a rat.
